This first-of-its-kind initiative will change the global narrative regarding Black people and swimming. This is a giant first step in permanently diversifying the sport of competitive swimming and, more importantly, in changing the relationship between Black people and the water.
We are excited to begin strengthening relationships between African Americans and our cousins in Senegal. We believe these relationships will enable us to better protect and uplift the entire African diaspora.
